Happy Raksha Bandhan !

Hello Friends,

Hope you all doing great and celebrating a beautiful festival today.

Raksha Bandhan means "Bond of protection". Raksha Bandhan is a festival which celebrates the bond of affection between brothers and sisters. It is a day when siblings pray for each others' well being and wish for each others' happiness and goodwill. On this auspicious day, brothers make a promise to their sisters to protect them from all harms and troubles and the sisters pray to God to protect their brother from all evil.

You all must be knowing about my thoughts towards handmade; yes.. "Happiness is handmade." !!

Hope you will like my this years handmade rakhis too!!!

Happy Raksha Bandhan !

Hiiiiiiieeee,

I know you all sisters must be excited to celebrate "Rakhi" festival today with your brothers and for gifts in return of rakhis ;) ...hahhaa

This year I decided to make rakhis instead of purchasing here as we don't get much variety of designs, and especially for little ones, in Indian stores here. In addition to that I am very choosy selecting everything, it may be clothes, accessories or decor and off course for rakhis too.

I already had few colored rhinestones & beads. Then got some silk threads and felt cloth from craft store and started making my own rakhis. I could make whatever I had thought of. And now here is the outcome....

And these have safely reached India!!!
